Effective January 1, 2012, a federal mandate requires health plans, clearinghouses, and providers to use the HIPAA Version 5010 standard in electronically conducting certain health care administrative transactions.
eMedNY will implement Version 5010 changes this summer that will impact all providers/submitters and have published the following update.
