The New York State Dental Foundation is pleased to provide dentists with the information herein, which will provide vital information on how to identify clinical signs and symptoms of nuclear, chemical or biological contaminants; be able to prescribe treatment plans for such, and, when necessary, be able to provide basic support techniques in concert with physicians and public health disaster specialists.

In addition, this website seeks to identify and establish a network of trained forensic dentists to volunteer in time of national emergencies.

Finally, and perhaps most importantly, this website provides dentists with the proper protocol to follow in case of a real or suspected bioterrorism event. Knowing who to call – and when – could save countless lives.
