NPHL Issues Report on Using Electronic Health Data to Improve Community Health

The Network for Public Health Law (NPHL) has issued a report on how electronic health data can be used to improve community health.  The report also deals with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) issues with accessing and contributing to public health databases.  While the report focuses on childhood asthma as a community health case study, it also notes other applications for effectively using electronic health data.  To read the NPHL report on how electronic health data can be used to improve community health, use the link below.
