IRS Issues Warning of Hotmail Phishing Scam

The United States Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has issued a warning of a tax scam aimed at persons who use Hotmail as their e-mail provider.  The scam, aimed at both taxpayers and professional tax return preparers, is a phishing e-mail that steals critical taxpayer information by pretending to be a request from the IRS.  The IRS notes yet again that it does not initiate any taxpayer communication via e-mail.  To read the IRS warning of the Hotmail phishing scam, use the link below.
