HHS OIG Issues QPP Progress Report

The Office of the Inspector General (OIG) of the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has issued a report on the progress of the Quality Payment Program (QPP) being administered by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).  The QPP is the major alternative payment mechanism being used by CMS to improve the Medicare program.  HHS OIG found that while CMS had addressed problems previously identified with QPP, additional technical assistance was needed for participating clinicians and an adequate plan for ensuring program integrity was lacking.  To read the HHS OIG complete report on the progress of the QPP, use the first link below.  To read the HHS OIG announcement and summary of the QPP progress report, use the second link below.
