PROTECT YOURSELF FROM MILLION DOLLAR FINES!
Violations of the HIPAA Security Regulations can result in large fines and other sanctions. The Third District Dental Society is sponsoring a 3-hour HIPAA Security Compliance course developed by the New York State Dental Association's Information Technology Committee.
Is your office safe? Can hackers break in and steal patient health information? Or, worse yet, prevent you from accessing this vital information? What should you do if you are hacked or infected with ransomware?
Join us to learn the answers to these questions and more! Learn how to safeguard your patient's electronic protected health information (ePHI), and transmit patient x-rays and records securely. This course will educate the dental team in a fun, common sense, step-by-step way on how to comply with HIPAA regulations to avoid unwanted fines.
Each dental practice attending will receive the NYSDA HIPAA Security Regulation Compliance Manual and guidance for completing the forms and checklists included in the Manual. Dentists are encouraged to bring members of their office team.
