The New York State Academic Dental Centers (NYSADC) is pleased to announce a new fellowship opportunity for 2021. With generous support from the Mother Cabrini Health Foundation, the NYSADC Fellowship to Address Oral Health Disparities is a one-year fellowship program focused on advanced training in providing care for people with special needs, with a particular emphasis on people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In addition to their clinical responsibilities, fellows will devote 20% of their fellowship year to teaching and/or research in partnership with one of New York’s six academic dental centers. Fellows will also commit to one-year post-fellowship providing care to patients with special needs and continuing their teaching and research responsibilities.
In order to be eligible for this fellowship, applicants must have graduated from a US dental school and completed at least one year of postgraduate training (and therefore be eligible for licensure in New York State). Applicants should also demonstrate a commitment to working with people with special needs and underserved patients.
We encourage you to share this announcement with residents and others who would be interested in this opportunity.
