Dentists can begin applying on September 29, 2021 for aid from the fourth phase of the Provider Relief Fund (PRF), which has an additional $17 billion to be distributed by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) to health care providers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, the ADA News reported.
The funding is for providers who can show revenue losses and expenses between July 1, 2020, and March 31, 2021. There is an additional $8.5 billion earmarked for providers serving rural patients. The HRSA said in a
release that the money is intended for providers with the most need, and that this phase will allocate funds to smaller providers "who tend to operate on thin margins and often serve vulnerable or isolated communities" at a higher percentage than larger providers.
More information on this funding phase is available at the HRSA
website.
