NYSDOH Issues Timeline Clarification on Restoration of 1.5% in Medicaid Reimbursement Rates

The New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) has clarified that the fiscal year (FY) 2023 enacted State Budget eliminated the 1.5% across-the-board (ATB) reduction in Medicaid reimbursements, effective for claims of service dated April 1, 2022, and beyond.  Claims submitted after March 31, 2022, for dates of service prior to April 1, 2022, would still be subject to the 1.5% ATB reduction.  Further information can be found on the NYSDOH Web site at: https://www.health.ny.gov/health_care/medicaid/redesign/pmt_reductions/atb/1_5_reduction.htm.  All questions should be submitted to the following electronic mailbox at: health.sm.ATB-reduction@health.ny.gov.  Include your provider name and Medicaid number on the e-mail so that questions may be reviewed by program area.  Keep in mind that NYSDOH will not be able to respond to individual e-mails; however, responses to frequently asked questions will be posted to the NYSDOH Web site.  Access the Web site regularly for the most updated information.
