Monkeypox Resources for Healthcare Providers

The CDC is requesting that healthcare providers be alert for patients who may have signs of monkeypox, including oral lesions, regardless of gender or sexual orientation, recent travel, or have specific risk factors. Healthcare providers should look for signs and/or symptoms during patient exams, continue to use appropriate PPE, and thoroughly clean all surface areas.

The New York State Department of Health hosted a webinar for healthcare providers in order to provide a situational update on the evolving monkeypox outbreak in New York City and New York State. The webinar discussed how to identify symptoms, testing, infection control protocol and more.
