A running list of the most recent information pertinent to the dental profession.

August 6, 2020 -- Members should know that NYSDA is launching initiatives to address the burdensome cost of dental PPE directly with both the governor and with DFS. NYSDA does not consider this Circular Letter to adequately address that underlying issue in any meaningful or helpful way. July 29, 2020 -- The American Dental Association has released Protocols to Follow if a Staff or Household Member is COVID-19(+). This members-only resource includes steps to take for both the staff member and their co-workers, performing staff exposure risk assessments, describes return to work strategies for staff who test positive for COVID-19, and more!

July 14, 2020 -- ADA Advocacy results in ALL dental providers being eligible to apply for funding through the Enhanced Provider Relief Fund Payment Portal.

July 10, 2020 -- The NYSDOH has released updated protocols for personnel in healthcare settings returning to work following COVID-19 exposure of infection. The ADA has launched a member-only Patient Return Resource Center.

June 22, 2020 -- The American Dental Association has released its recommendation on wait period before disinfection in response to the updated CDC Guidance for Dental Settings.

June 19, 2020 -- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have updated their Interim Infection Prevention and Control Guidance for Dental Settings During the COVID-19 Response. View a summary of the updates on our "Practice Guidance" page.

May 31, 2020 -- Governor Cuomo announces dentists statewide can fully reopen on June 1.
