It is important to communicate with your patients prior to opening and reassure them that your office will maintain up-to-date infection control protocols.

Practice Tips

  • If suitable, have patients wait in their car and contact them when you are ready for them to enter the practice. Use your professional judgement.
  • Consider asking patients to bring a pen, or supply pens that can be taken home by the patient.
  • If patients need to cancel due to illness, consider waiving any cancellation fee policies.
Pre-appointment screening will be key to treatment. Once patients arrive at the office, these screening questions should be repeated along with a temperature check.
