Lecture Description:

This course will focus on implant supported and retained removable prosthetic treatment, including:

  • Strategic placement of one or two implants attached to a removable partial denture, to create a stable and clasp less esthetic replacement for multiple missing teeth;
  • The importance of RPD design;
  • The surgical and prosthetic nuances of the somewhat controversial placement of four implants in the maxillary arch, to retain unsplinted implants supporting a palateless complete overdenture; and
  • Details of fabrication and laboratory support for the two-implant overdenture in the mandibular arch, the “standard of care” for the edentulous mandible.

The hands-on session will allow participants to “pick-up” attachments under faculty supervision

Results:

You will learn new treatments for implant supported and retained removable prosthetics, and how to incorporate these treatments into your clinical practice.
