Lecture Description:
In the last 30-years there have been important advancements in adhesive material science, research & clinical techniques. This course will present these latest advancements and how they can be implemented daily in clinical practice. Minimally invasive preparations for posterior restorations will be reviewed, demonstrated and practiced with a focus on preparation design, materials selection and cementation. The clinical techniques known as IDS (Immediate Dentin Sealing) & Resin Coating will also be discussed, demonstrated then practiced as well. The latest advancements in ceramic bonding will also be reviewed and a warm composite cementation technique will be utilized which can provide extremely high bonds for posterior restorations that mimic the strength of the DEJ.

• Preparation guidelines for minimally invasive posterior preparations
• Pretreatment of dentition with Immediate Dentin Sealing, Resin Coating & Deep Margin Elevation
• Clinical guidelines for the selection of ceramics for minimally invasive posterior restorations
Speaker Information: Amelia Orta, DMD, FACP
Dr. Orta attended the Dental College of Georgia, where she received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2015 and Certificate in Prosthodontics in 2018. Dr. Orta is Board Certified with the American Board of Prosthodontics and is both a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists. Dr. Orta practices in Washington, DC, where her focus is correcting both esthetic and functional issues that patients may have using the most minimally invasive techniques with a Biomimetic approach. She is a published author on full mouth rehabilitations and implant prosthetic design and serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the American College of Prosthodontic Messenger publication.
