University of Rochester to Establish Eastman School of Dentistry
The University of Rochester has announced plans to establish the Eastman School of Dentistry, its first new school in more than 50 years. Building on Eastman’s longstanding dental education, research and patient care programs, the school plans to offer a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) program, pending approval by the Commission on Dental Accreditation and New York State. Dr. Eli Eliav will serve as inaugural dean, with the school’s name taking effect January 1, 2027.
